About Terry
Born and brought up in Liverpool, Terry fell in love with the wonderful landscape of the Lake District as a young man.
While walking the fells and valleys of the North Lakes, he developed a deep appreciation of outstanding beauty of Lakeland Slate with its rich texture and olive green hue.
Being a talented and creative self taught craftsman, it was perhaps inevitable that Terry would combine his admiration of Lakeland Slate and his love of nature …with incredible results!
Terry has developed a unique layering technique, an innovative and original approach, which he combines with traditional methods of working with slate. He has applied this technique to create commissioned large scale sculptures.
